When Bob McDonald started Flagrant Foul in August 2003, he didn’t realize that it would take him more than three years to complete. As long as that took, the second book in the Stories from the Forester series, Dilemma, took considerably less time, as it was completed in January of 2008.
Of course, writing The Gray Summer, the latest novel, did seem to take on a saga of its own, as far as writing time was concerned.
Bob is a two-time graduate of Cleveland State University, attaining a Bachelor of Arts in History in 2002 and a Master of Education in Adult Learning and Development in 2005. He is currently the owner of TOG Solutions, which specializes in providing resume writing services and training programs for individuals and businesses.
No stranger to writing, Bob’s inspiration for many of the characters in his books came from his past. He served as a writer and editor for the Cauldron, Cleveland State’s student newspaper. He published articles for the newspapers in Sandusky, Ohio and Lorain, Ohio, where he was born and where he graduated from Admiral King High School. He still continues to write occasionally on his sports blog, Teed Off Redux, as well as weekly at Campus Pressbox, where he is the Cleveland State columnist and also Editor-at-Large.
